Dora married Jacob Degonda on 9 June 1885. She was the daughter ofJacob F. and Maria Barbara (Beer) Livers. Dora was born 19 December 1862 inSwitzerland and was known to be a woman of kind and even temperament, anexcellent mother and a very industrious person.
Dora's mother's parents were Joseph B. and Mary Barbara Beer. They originally lived in Switzerland and had a total of six children; Louis, Martin, Jacob Joseph V., Crescentia, and Maria Barbara. Their son Louis was the first to come to the United States in about 1854 and settled in the St. Henry area.
